"Photo Composition"

Snapshot: is a quick shot, ofter spontaneous, taken to record a moment in time
Photograph: an image taken with care and thought
Rule of Thirds: imaginary lines drawn dividing the frame of your camera into thirds, both horizontally and vertically
-Place the important subject, or important elements of your composition where these lines intersect (vertical)
-Place the horizone line at the top or bottom horizontal divider (horizontal)
-Fill up the entire frame with the subect for a close image
Leading lines: use lines created with the foreground or background of the composition to lead the viewer's eye though the photo; they can draw attention to the subject
Point of View: change the way your subject is perceived by changing the camera positions
Simplicity: keep your background simple and clear of clutter
-A chaotic composition can make the viewer want to look away
